You can search UKOP Online by the following fields:
From the Search page, you can use the All Record Keyword field to search for any word or phrase contained within an entry in UKOP Online. To enter terms into the search box:

When searching in the Keyword field, you can use truncation to retrieve records containing variations on a term. If you choose to search for more than one term, you can also combine them using Boolean and proximity searching.

From the Search page, you can use the Category search field to restrict your search to various UKOP Online To enter terms in the Category search box:

From the Search page, you can search for Series Reference terms for all relevant publications listed in UKOP Online. To enter terms in the Series search box:

When searching in the Series Reference field, you can use truncation to retrieve entries for publications with common or similar Series Reference details. If you choose to search for more than one Series Reference term, you can also combine them using Boolean searching.
From the Search page, you can search for Parliamentary publications published during a specific Parliamentray session. To enter terms in the Session Year search box:

If you choose to search for more than one Session Year, you can also combine them using Boolean searching.
Use the Publication Date field to limit a search to documents published during a specific year or a range of years. The default values appearing in the search boxes represent the earliest and most recent years covered by the database.
The Publication Year field can be searched in two ways:

From the Search page, you can search for documents written or produced by a specific author or comittee chairman. To enter terms in the Personal Author search box:

When searching in the Personal Author field, you can use truncation to search on the stem of a Personal Author name. If you choose to search for more than one Personal Author, you can also combine them using Boolean searching.
From the Search page, you can use the Publisher field in order to locate publications by the full name of the hard copy publisher in the case of TSO/HMSO publications or publications distributed by TSO/HMSO. In addition, searching on Chadwyk-Healey will locate those publications which are available from Chadwyck-Healey on microfiche. If you wish to locate titles published directly by a government agency (non-TSO/HMSO publications), use the Issuing Body field instead. To enter terms into the Publisher field:

When searching in the Publisher field, you can use truncation to search on the stem of a Publisher name. If you choose to search for more than one Publisher, you can also combine them using Boolean searching.
From the Search page, you can search for documents with a particular ISBN or ISSN. To enter terms in the ISBN/ISSN search box:

In the browse list, numbers are displayed without separating spaces and hyphens. However, UKOP Online will retrieve all relevant documents regarless of whether or not spces/hyphens are types into the ISBN/ISSN search form. If you choose to search for more than one ISBN/ISSN, you can also combine them using Boolean searching.
