Overview
This demonstration illustrates the following features:

Searching: You can search UKOP direct from the home page by typing in your keywords and clicking the GO! button.

UKOP's Advanced Search facility allows you to take more control over your search results. You can choose to do a Flexible search, enabling you to widen your research by looking for related meanings or spellings, or a Boolean search, which allows you to combine your search terms using operators like AND, OR, NOT. Both Advanced Search pages allow you to perform fielded searches, to narrow your search by date, and choose from a list of issuing bodies.

Viewing results: The summary of matches provides an overview of your search results. To see more detail, you can go into the bibliographic record page.

Viewing full text: UKOP archives the full text of the most important official documents so that they are permanently available. Where electronic copies of these documents are not available we have created them especially for UKOP. This full text is archived in PDF format, and is accessible by clicking on the special full text icon in the bibliographic record, or on the summary of matches page.

Search history: If you find the results of a search particularly useful, or if you have to carry out the same searches on a regular basis, you might find it useful to store your search terms by using search history. This feature enables you to store up to 25 queries at once, enabling you to run your searches again in the future at any time.

Updates by e-mail: You do not have to search to get the information you want from UKOP. You can create your own personal user profile, selecting any number of 31 subject categories, from education to Northern Ireland, heritage to the sciences. You will receive a message from UKOP each week containing the date, title and issuing body of all new publications in UKOP that meet your selection criteria.
