Will I need to upgrade my computer/software?

If you are a current UKOP customer, you will not need any more technical capacity. UKOP will still be available using your current internet connection, and access will be monitored by IP address or password as usual.

The new version of UKOP supports the following browsers:

• Netscape Navigator 3.0, 4.0 and 4.5
• Internet Explorer 3.01, 4.0, 5.0

We are no longer supporting Netscape 1.2 or 2.

To view official publications in full text, you will need to download the Adobe Acrobat Reader if you do not already have this installed. This is free and very easy to do, and you can download it now if you want to. This will enable you to open the full text of documents with one click.

Users will also be able to receive e-mail alerts and e-mailed results if they have an e-mail address. However, it is not necessary to have an e-mail address to use the rest of UKOP.
